"We finished the season as the top rank division three fencing program in the country. Our program also had eight division three all Americans. And it all started when we incorporated your yoga exercises into our program." ~ Head Coach Paragano, Drew Fencing
I am a Yoga Coach for Athletes/Injury Prevention Specialist with 25+ years experience.
I have had the great honor to coach teams and athletes on the pro, college, and high school level. I know I can help bring the next stage of success to your team.
As a result of business development efforts cold-calling coaches, and after explaining the proven benefit on athletic performance, I negotiated contractual terms with hundreds of athletes and over a dozen teams over the years.
I am loyal to a team, and never offer my services to a competitor. I currently manage bicoastal business with clients in both New Jersey and Los Angeles/California.
Deemed a “secret weapon” championship-winning coaches attribute their success to the work I have done with their teams; sessions are tailored to the needs of each team and are specific to the physical biomechanics, vernacular, and mental-focusing techniques necessary for each sport (fencing, baseball, basketball, football, etc.).
“We didn't have a single injury while working with you,” or, “it's incredible to see how much their morale has been boosted” are just a small sampling of testimonials I have received from appreciative coaches and players alike.
I was also a competitive athlete, a rising basketball star. If I had known then of the incredible value professionally instructed yoga has, I might not have broken my ankle (though I did make the shot)! It is this experience and the intrinsic mindset of an athlete that has led me to master the life-changing techniques I now teach. I know what it takes to endure and ensure success!
Let me show you what I can do!
First, through discussions about team goals and me sitting in on practices if possible, we begin to assess what the team needs. I observe players’ drills, stretches, and then also witness where they are on an emotional/mental level, as that has such an impact on performance.
Then I “get in there” and optimize by designing a program that is a supplement to their current routine. Everyone shares with me their current injuries and I keep a log so as to offer unique modifications to each player. I lead movements that will help stretch and strengthen overused muscles, thereby preventing injury and minimizing body fatigue. Similarly, I integrate breathing/mind centering techniques that improve their ability and mental prowess individually and as a cohesive unit for laser focus.
I then use my 16+ years experience of leading international transformational retreats and facilitate fun and team building exercises that lend itself to emotional release and clearer hearts for the game.
Finally, "pre-game" routines are taught and ingrained to ensure success. They win more —way more. Frankly, coaches love me, and I love them back! I love what I do, as it so gratifying.

Head Coach James McFadden of the VAAS Vipers baseball team (CIF DIV III 2017 Champions; CIF DIV II 2019 Champions) talks about his experience bringing Yoga with Chaz to his team. The athletes had greater flexibility and strength as well as fewer injuries and complaints of muscle soreness. More importantly, it totally helped them on a mental level. "They were engaged and game-ready!" Mindful and breathing techniques taught to them by Chaz helped the team win the 2019 CIF DIV II Championship!
