Terzo Di Danciano is a small medieval hamlet immersed in a stunning rural setting. It overlooks the border between Umbria and Tuscany near the beautiful city of Cortona, renowned for its Etruscan origins.
The intention in the restoration of this structure was to faithfully conserve the original atmosphere, while providing a thoroughly contemporary experience of comfort and sustainable efficiency. The spacious bedrooms and luminous living areas are made of natural handcrafted materials decorated with colors that radiate and maintain the patina and charm of centuries past. A stay at Terzo di Danciano unfolds as a journey in which all the senses are immersed in an experience of lightness and great beauty.
The spa, nestled among the ancient stone walls of Terzo di Danciano, is warm and welcoming. It is designed to pamper you in exclusive privacy, offering you our hot water pool made of travertine stone with hydromassage, the detoxifying hot-stone hammam, the infrared sauna, a spacious shower to cool off surrounded by plants and a relaxation area overlooking the forest outside.
Terzo di Danciano The main house is a magnificent 16th century construction. The floors, stairs, plasterwork, paint and vaults have all been renovated to preserve the unique radiant character of the environment rich in color and vibrant in identity. The house has 9 master bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.

TRAVEL INFO: We suggest flights to Florence -we have a great team who can help you make this whole process easy and affordable, including airfare! We intend to schedule a group shuttle to take us from Florence airport to the town of Gubbio where we will be staying at a hotel with a block of discounted rooms the night of the 14th and 15th (hotel TBD); otherwise, taxis are an option. The town of Gubbio has the famous Good Friday processionals and ceremonies, so we want to be in the center of it! We also intend to visit a synagogue, as it will also be Passover. All of this is optional and intended to just be group-bonding time. We coordinate many of the spontaneous activities via a What's App group text (like, "we're meeting at this cafe at 10 AM for breakfast. Who's in?"). If you don't join us for the pre-retreat fun, we suggest flying into Florence at least one night before the 16th so as to ensure you are on the shuttle to head to Terzo di Danciano in Cortona on the 16th for check in! Stay tuned for more details. For more updated pre-retreat itinerary, please contact Chaz's manager Joanne: firstname.lastname@example.org
CANCELLATION POLICY: Payment must be made in half by October 1, 2021 and in full by January 1, 2022. A full refund will be granted if you cancel for any reason. If you cancel within a month of the retreat, if we cannot replace your spot, a full refund will be granted minus costs already incurred for your planned participation. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance (for medical expenses or cancellation costs for any reason). If we cancel the retreat due to lack of attendance, we will issue a full refund; if we cannot hold the retreat due to pandemic-related complications, we will first seek to postpone the retreat to a future date. We understand that "sh*t happens," and aim to be as fair with our refund policy as possible.
Gubbio - Where we will be staying before the retreat starts.
Perhaps best known these days as the setting for the book and movie “Under the Tuscan Sun,” gorgeous hillside Cortona has a long history dating back even before its time as an important Etruscan center. Top attractions include the Duomo (Cathedral), the small Museo Diocesano across the piazza with its superb art collection, and the fascinating Museo dell'Accademia Etrusca with its assembly of Etruscan and Roman era items. Cortona is also bursting with splendid churches spanning many periods.
